Ever wonder what jewelry piece suits you and not the model in the magazine. You see pieces but are not sure if they will work for you and your lifestyle? How do you decide?
While photographing clients I have often been left to decide how the jewelry will look on a model. I photograph all shapes and sizes of women. What people sometimes forget is that jewelry is an accessory to make you look beautiful. Choosing the right piece should make the overall you look gorgeous. What styles best suit your body type?
First thing is to figure out your body type or what your closest to.

Apple - Mid section is larger than the rest of your body.
Pear - Lower body is larger than the top
Banana - You are straight up and down and bust size varies.
Squash/Hourglass - This is the curvy figure, you are proportioned on the top and bottom and have a smaller waist in comparison.
Hungry now, need a fruit salad?
Now you need to know whats styles of jewelry will look best with your body type.
Apple - Apples can wear big statement pieces. The trick is to take the eye upwards. Large statements necklaces or earring work great. Don't rule out long pieces as long as they are dainty. Avoid large belts around the waist. You can go crazy with rings and bangles.

Pear - Pears can wear statement pieces, necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets work. Once again take the eye upwards. Be careful of large long chunky designs.

Banana - look great with long strands of beads. earrings, use belts to create curves.
Squash/Hourglass - The squash or the curvy look can wear pretty much anything. Depending on how much curve be careful of belts, huge angular jewelry.
